After logging in occasionally over the past few days, I've noticed, with the exception of an awesome video and a nice picture, things seem pretty quiet. Understandable, that's quite normal when a new forum starts and membership takes time once the word gets out. Anyway I'd like to take this opportunity to explain my yahoo group, which focuses on two main interests, haircutting by women barbers/hairstylists, and women who button their collars, and who may in fact cut hair as well. I must say that I've enjoyed getting this group organized and posting pictures, but most of all, I enjoy receiving new members who also seem to express the same interests.
In updating and posting I must admit there's a challenge, though I have had no problem finding buttoned women, both from my collection as well as contributions, finding women barbers/hairstylists who are also buttoned has been hard to find, and I must admit, I probably have spread myself thin in the haircutting aspect of my group. There are a few pictures I've found while looking through different links but not many.
Anyway, I am planning to post some pics I have which show fashins from the Victorian Era and the early 20th Century, along with a few files containing stories I'll be writing which covers both areas of my group. I will also be welcoming contributions in both pictures and stories, if you're a member, stop by in the next few weeks and check out the new stuff.
